Talking about tense and stressful life is easy to me. My life is very stressful because I am taking the SAT test in a month, and that is too much stress!!! I also practise yoga, and that makes me feel so much better!

However, the two boys had never really been ___(4. responsible) so finally, after a lot of discussion, their parents agreed they were ___(5. like) to do anything stupid. They put up their tent near the river. They were boilingly hot by the time they'd finished so they dived into the river, which was incredibly cold, much to their surprise. 2. Read the passage and match the problems with the advice.

1

Things are getting really bad! A teacher at school asked me for my home address and I found it reaily difficult to write! I hardly ever use a pen these days - I write everything on my keyboard.

A

That's a real sign of trouble. Soon you'll start to forget how to communicate in the real world. You can still chat online, but you should try to see each other in person at least once a week.

2

I haven't seen my best friend in real life for three weeks. We send each other texts on our mobile phones ever/ day, and we chat on the internet for hours. But I'm starting to forget what she looks like.

B

Oh dear - this sounds like true addiction. But remember many teenage boys are uncommunicative, so don't feel too bad! Send him text messages and emails, but talk to him too - even if he doesn't answer you! Keep trying.

3

My teenage son barely talks to me. The only other methods of communication he uses are sending text messages on his mobile phone or emails on his computer.

C

Well, that is pretty serious! Try to start writing with a pen more. Maybe you could write a diary, or send your friends and family greeting cards.
